                 Omaha South High Inducts Battiato Into Hall of Fame

Omaha, NE—Douglas County Register of Deeds Diane L. Battiato was inducted into the South High School Hall of Fame on Oct. 8, 2011.  In addition to being the register of deeds, Battiato is a real estate broker and owner of Battiato Real Estate.  She also served on the Papillion City Council for five years.  In 2009, Battiato received NACRC’s (National Association of County Recorders, Election Officials and Clerks) CPO (Certified Public Official) award.  She is one of only 19 CPOs in the nation.

“This award is very special to me,” said Battiato.  “I always have cherished my years at South and been very grateful for the opportunities the school provided for me.  A significant portion of my professional success can be attributed to the excellent education I received at South.”

Battiato was graduated in 1967.
