Diane Battiato, Douglas County Register of Deeds, recently returned from the National Association of County Recorders, Election Officials and Clerks (NACRC) Annual Conference in Dallas, TX.
NACRC members convened for discussion about the latest issues affecting land records, court administration, clerk to board, vital statistics, elections administration and records management. Members attended sessions focusing on topics such as land-records preservation, marriage fraud, election voting systems, voter anonymity and cloud technology. They also participated in roundtable discussions about various topics.
The purpose of the conference was to provide a venue for county officials to gain national knowledge that will help them meet local needs.
“This meeting gives county officials, like me, an opportunity to network on a national level, to share information and innovations, and take those ideas back to implement in our individual counties and states,” Battiato said.
